Guangzhou Huaxia Biotechnology builds a “dual-source innovation” ecosystem for anti-hair loss products

Guangzhou, December 8, 2025 — In today’s increasingly globalized world of efficacy skincare and functional hair care, true competitiveness no longer comes from a single ingredient or technology, but from the ability to efficiently integrate high-quality global resources and transform them into solutions that meet local needs.

Guangzhou Huaxia Biotechnology Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Huaxia Biotechnology”) is practicing this concept in the field of hair loss prevention: on the one hand, it deeply connects with top raw material suppliers in Europe, America and Japan to introduce high-purity and high-activity international ingredients; on the other hand, it cultivates local Chinese plant resources and uses modern technology to activate traditional hair care wisdom, forming a unique “dual-source innovation” hair loss prevention ecosystem.

“Hair loss prevention is not a ‘lone wolf’ approach, but a multi-dimensional synergy,” said the R&D director of Huaxia Biotechnology. “We use the antioxidant complex from BITOP in Germany to stabilize the hair follicle microenvironment, and the extract of authentic Chinese arborvitae leaves from Guangdong to inhibit scalp inflammation; we use small molecule caffeine derivatives from SABINSA in the United States to promote local circulation, and we also combine active glycosides from wild Polygonum multiflorum in Yunnan to nourish hair roots.”

This “global + local” strategy has been systematically implemented. On the raw material side, the company has established strategic partnerships with international giants such as SEPPIC (France), Ichimaru (Japan), Symrise (Germany), and Jarchem (USA), prioritizing the use of active ingredients certified by ECOCERT, COSMOS, or the FDA. For example, the plant-derived hair follicle activating peptides used in its high-end anti-hair loss essence have a customized sequence provided by SABINSA (USA), and after optimization of the transdermal carrier by South China University of Technology, their bioavailability has increased by nearly three times.

At the same time, Huaxia Biotechnology has not overlooked the unique value of the “China Solution.” Relying on the Guangdong Huaxia Skin Research Institute, the team screened and standardized hair-nourishing herbs from more than 20 provinces across the country, establishing the “Oriental Plant Extract Anti-Hair Loss Raw Material Library.” Among them, the noriheptacorlins in Xinhui tangerine peel from Guangdong, the oligosaccharides in Morinda officinalis from Guangxi, and the gingerol in ginger root from Sichuan have all been proven to have anti-inflammatory, circulation-promoting, or antioxidant potential, and have been applied in multiple customer formulations.

More importantly, the company possesses the capability to scientifically combine, stably coexist, and synergistically enhance the effects of these two types of resources. Through an AI-assisted formulation platform and in vitro dermal papilla cell models, the R&D team can quickly verify the synergistic effects of different ingredient combinations, avoiding a “pile-up” approach to development. For example, a popular anti-hair loss shampoo combines licorice flavonoids (oil control and anti-inflammation) from Japan’s Ichimaru, plant stem cells (barrier repair) from France’s Sentinel, and native arborvitae leaf extract (antibacterial and hair-strengthening), achieving a three-in-one effect of “cleansing—conditioning—activation.”

This strategy has been strongly validated by the market. Currently, Huaxia Bio’s OEM clients for hair loss prevention products cover three main types: cross-border e-commerce brands, established pharmaceutical companies, and emerging livestreaming businesses .

We customized silicone-free anti-hair loss kits that comply with EU EC 1223/2009 regulations for brands going global; we helped Nanjing Tongrentang transform the ancient formula “He Shou Wu Yan Shou Dan” into modern hair care products; and we supported Xin Youzhi Yanxuan in launching a fast-acting combination that “controls oil in 7 days and reduces hair loss in 28 days,” with sales exceeding 200,000 sets in the first month after its launch.

“The world’s best ingredients meet China’s genuine needs, and a bridge is needed between them—we are that bridge,” said a company representative.

It is reported that Huaxia Bio is promoting three invention patents involving “international active ingredients and traditional Chinese medicine compounding” and plans to release the “White Paper on Synergistic Application of Anti-hair Loss Ingredients” in 2026, opening up some research results to the industry.

Amid the seemingly contradictory tension between globalization and localization, Huaxia Bio has found a balance: using global technology to solve China’s hair loss problem.
